


WHAT WE DO
GenNow Council is a non-profit organization based out of Mumbai, India. We work across India and Asia among the hurting children, youth and parents. We create awareness about prevailing issues that throttles the holistic (mental, physical, ethical and social) growth of the mentioned group.
PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.
At GenNow Council, we are committed to running a variety of programs and projects aimed at addressing the prevailing issues that hinder the holistic growth of children, youth, and parents. Our initiatives focus on community conservation, stopping wildlife crime, early education, marine conservation, forest restoration, and environmental policy. Through these efforts, we strive to create a positive and lasting impact on the communities we serve.
Mental Health
According to the National Mental Health Survey of India 2015-16, the prevalence of mental disorders in youth (13-17 years) is 7.3% .
Addiction
The Magnitude of Substance Use in India 2019 report by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment found that 1 in 7 people aged 10-75 years in India are affected by substance use disorders, with significant numbers among the youth
Sense of Community
The Indian Journal of Community Medicine highlights that a strong sense of community is associated with lower rates of mental health issues among adolescents .
